Theme:Forage and Feast, a Fall Skills Gathering
We are planning a three-day skills gathering on the Central Coast centered around deep nourishment of the body and soul. Through crafting, foraging, feasting and fun we will remember the reason we are here - to enjoy the simple pleasures of life and connect with each other, right in someones backyard!

Our intentions of creating Cat Scat is to generate more togetherness, beauty and aliveness in the world through sharing earth-based, ancestral and practical skills in an accessible backyard setting. 

Organized by Audrey, Eric, Hazel, Strider, Jess, Sam, Nic & Sadie

This will be similar but different than last year. Food focused, 3 full days, more defined classes and refined flow.

$240 - Adult Sustainable

$300 - Adult Abundance

$50 - Car Camping weekend pass

Ticket Tiers

The cost of your ticket covers the expenses to host this event in a sustainability way for the coordinating team. We really tried to keep it as affordable as possible. Here is how the ticket tiers ticket work:

$240: Standard: For those who can pay the actual break-even cost of running Catscat (we need most people to pay this price or above to keep this going in years forward):

  •  I am employed and meeting my basic needs

  • I have access to healthcare

  • I have access to financial savings

  • I have some expendable income

  • I am able to buy new items 

  • I can take a vacation annually or every few years without financial burden

$300: Abundance: For those who can help support the costs of running Catscat, as well as people applying for scholarshi

  • I own a home, land, and/or am of the property-owning class

  • I may have some debt but it does not prohibit attainment of basic needs

  • I have investments, retirement accounts, and/or inherited money

  • I own or lease a car

  • I have access to family money and resources in times of need

  • I have expendable income to travel recreationally 

  • I am employed or do not need to work to meet needs

  • I am unemployed or work part time by choice

  • I have a relatively high degree of social capital and/or earning power due to racial privilege, class privilege, gender privilege, level of education, my able body, etc.

$100: Kiddo: For kids age 2-12. Kids under 2 are free. Kids over 12 should purchase the adult ticket. We will have a dedicated kids zone with coordinated kids activities.

$50:Car Camping - for the weekend/family - very limited spots available 

$50:Tent Camping: - for the weekend/family. You will not be able to drive to the site but we have wagons and helpers to carry your things. We will have a dedicated camp kitchen and bathroom in the camping zone this year. 

Schedule:

- Opening circle Thursday @ 5 & potluck dinner
- Friday: Breakfast, classes all day, catered dinner, night game & talent show
- Saturday: Breakfast, classes all day, barter bazar and catered open fire cookout. Fire and song into the night
- Sunday: Breakfast, morning classes and closing circle at 3

Work Trade:

We will have a very limited number of slots open for work trade. The exchange is 10 hours of work for 1 ticket. The positions available are: kitchen crew, grounds crew. Work Trade applications are due by August 5. We will let you know by August 8 if you got a spot so that you can still purchase a ticket if not. Apply here

Call For Teachers:

Our Teacher application is now open. We are looking for folks to share skills focused on the foraging, preparation, cooking and eating of food. The theme is broad and flexible and we have some ideas which you will see in the application located here. Teacher applications are due by August 5. We will let teachers know by August 8 if they are accepted so that you can still purchase a ticket if not. Apply Here
